Billy Bonebreaker
is my name,
And breaking bones
seems my thing.
Like
yesterday noon, in that tree,
When I fell out,
I broke my knee.
Or
the day before, on that fence,
I haven’t walked right
ever since.
Or,
when I jumped into that pool,
The water was gone.
That was not cool.
And then I climbed up on that boulder,
I slipped and tripped ,
and broke my shoulder.
Then,
that time I ran in sand,
Fell flat on my face,
and broke my hand.
Or
when I swung upon that rope,
It came undone;
two ribs I broke.
Now,
fourteen bones I have broken;
From head to toe.
Fourteen. No Joken!
But, I’ve finally stopped breaking
bones at last,
Because now I’m in
a full body cast.
