Billy Bonebreaker
And breaking bones
Like
yesterday noon, in that tree,
When I fell out,
Or
the day before, on that fence,
I haven’t walked right
Or,
when I jumped into that pool,
The water was gone.
 And then I climbed up on that boulder,
I slipped and tripped
Then,
that time I ran in sand,
Fell flat on my face,
 Or
when I swung upon that rope,
It came undone;
Now,
fourteen bones I have broken;
From head to toe.
  But, I’ve finally stopped breaking
bones at last,
Because now I’m in
