 Becoming

There are things to become

That you can learn,

And treasures of knowledge

That you can earn.

If you just take the time

To learn, you’ll see

That you can become

What you want to be.

Why, you can go

To the Ocean’s floor,

In a deep sea dive;

If you lean to explore.

Or, you can dig

And find old bones,

If you learn just where

The Dinos roamed.

Or, you can go

And stand on Mars,

If you learn to fly

Among the stars.

Or, you can learn

To sing on stage,

And then receive

A handsome wage.

For, the more you learn,

The more you know,

And the more you learn,

The more you grow.

So, take the time

And learn what you should

But, as you learn to become,

Become something good.
